HIPPA: Is it OK for a relative, picking up an rx for the patient, to sign the electronic HIPPA signature pad?

Pharmacy Electronic Signature Pad - HIPPA Violation?

What if the patient is not present to pick up an rx but a relative is picking up on their behalf and we have an electronic signature pad which asks to sign for the HIPPA notice. Is it ok for them to sign for the acknowledgement of the hippa notice? Or does the patient have to sign?
