Which DAW do I use (here in CA) for when insurance only covers the Brand Name Med?

DAW Question from a Tech in Los Angeles, California
I work in retail. I have a prescription, which would normally be filled with the generic. The customer has not requested brand, and the prescriber says generic ok. However, the insurance covers brand ONLY. What DAW do I use in here in California? The pharmacist I work with is new and is a bit confused about this situation. Any guidance you can give regarding this question would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
