Electrocardiogram (EKG) indicating Atrial Fibrillation

The usual dose of Digoxin for rapid digitalization is a total of 1.0 mg divided into 2 or more doses at intervals of 6 to 8 hours. How many milliliters of digoxin elixir containing 50 microgram per ml would provide this dose?

Digoxin for Rapid Digitalization is Used to Treat A-Fib
by: David

For those who don't know, when it comes to Digoxin/Lanoxin, "Rapid Digitalization" is just a fancy way of saying "Loading Dose Regimen."

Digoxin can be used to treat Atrial Fibrillation (or "A-Fib," an irregular heartbeat, often a rapid heartbeat, which usually causes poor blood flow.)
or Heart Failure. In his case, for this question, it is unnecessary to treat Heart Failure with a loading dose. So A-Fib is what is usually being treated.

According to MedScape.com,

"PO: 10-15 mcg/kg total loading dose; administer 50% initially; then may cautiously give 1/4 the loading dose q6-8hr twice; peform careful assessment of clinical response and toxicity before each dose."
