days supply?

I dont know if it is because I am exhausted from frustration or the fact I have been doing homework for the last 3 hours... but here's the problem I have been presented with...

A patient has a prescription for Amoxil 375mg po BID. The pharmacy dispenses 100ml of Amoxil 250mg/5mL suspension. How many days would the medication last?

My brain is dead!!!!!

At the 250mg/5ml dose, to arrive at 375mg PO BID, the dose would be 7.5ml/375mg PO BID. So 7.5ml x 2 (remember, its twice a day) = 15ml per day

Since the bottle is 100ml, we divide 100 by 15 and come up with a 6 days supply. If there were more bottles of reconstitutable Amoxicillin, then the days supply would be different. However, in this example question, 100ml of 250mg/5ml will last 6 days with those directions.

Thank you for the question!
