Do I have to retake the PTCB every two years?

Do I have to do anything to keep my Certification and License Current?

I live in Arizona and according to our state board of Pharmacy I have to renew my license every two years. Does this mean that I have to retake the PTCB exam every two years to be re certified or do I just have to pay a fee every two years to keep my license current. I am not finding this information anywhere.

No, But You Will Need 20 Hours of Continuing Education Every 2 years

Great question, Savana.

You do not have to retake the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam every two years, however you do need to earn 20 continuing education credits every two years and pay a fee to the PTCB every two years to get recertified. After you have earned your CE credits, you enter them in online at the PTCB website and pay their fee.

To be perfectly honest, I don't think I could pass that exam again!

Thanks for your question!
