Direct billing

I am enrolled with Aetna PPO. The plan states that I don't need to pay upfront at CVS because CVS can direct bill my insurance company. However, I am asked to pay for my prescriptions every time I go to CVS. Anyone can tell me why?

You should call contact the Customer Service number on the back of your Aetna PPO insurance card. It's their plan. They should be the ones with the answers.

It's possible that there is some misinformation being told you about your prescription benefits that are or are not covered on your PPO.
