What are the different types of antibiotics (or anti-infectives) and what are their therapeutic effects?
My questions are regarding Antibiotics. The pharmacy I work at tends to dispense a lot of them. How does a doctor decide which antibiotic is best?
Also, what are the different drug classes of antibiotics and how are they different?
What are the names of the most common brand and generic antibiotics?
One common complaint I hear from customers who are on an antibiotic is that they get diarrhea.
Are there any other side effects/adverse effects that can happen from taking an antibiotic?
I think other pharmacy techs could benefit from knowing the answers to these questions as well. Thanks.
